Akhilesh heads the IT Advisory practice of KPMG in India. He has over 18 years of experience in management consulting and IT consulting. He has directed and managed numerous consulting engagements including strategy, operations and performance monitoring of companies in technology sector. Akhilesh is a keen lover of technology and is passionate about use of appropriate technology to bring out substantial business benefits.

Akhilesh has been associated with Indian IT and BPM industry for last 15 years and understands the industry issues very well. He has worked with a large number of companies providing outsourcing services to improve their quality and performance of service delivery. On the other hand, he has also helped the buyers of the IT/BPM services make right decision when selecting their strategic sourcing service providers. He has led outsourcing program at one of India’s largest BPM companies, a large multinational telecom operator, a large chemical and drug discovery company, a leading consumer markets company, amongst others. He has also led projects involving review of total outsourcing contracts for a variety of clients in order to improve their cost and service effectiveness. Akhilesh has also advised clients on setting up shared service centers, He has been responsible for setting up an internal outsourcing center to provide IT consulting services to other KPMG offices across the world. His articles have been published and his views quoted frequently in the economic/business press, electronic and online media He has also been invited as a speaker at a number of industry forums and seminars, business schools, etc in India and overseas.
