Along with defining and executing Tech Mahindra’s Technology Solutions, Atul drives strategic initiatives that enable clients to transform their Business models leveraging technology advances – his current focus is Cyber-Security, Enterprise Business Solutions (EBS), and Healthcare Life Sciences opportunities.

 

Atul completed his B.Engg. (1984) and MBA (1986) from Delhi University (India). In a career spanning 29 years, Atul has held CEO/CXO roles across multiple sectors including Technology, IT/BPO and Private Equity. His leadership and insights on transformation, have earned him a reputation for turning around businesses and building global, diverse, high-performing teams. He is a “Business Adventurer” – always looking for the next challenge and the associated “high”.

 

Prior to joining Tech Mahindra, Atul’s assignments have included raising a small cap focused PE fund (Ambit Pragma, 6 investments), turning around Mahindra Satyam (President, Global Business), growing Aditya Birla BPO into an industry leader through the acquisition of Toronto listed Minacs, and leading global organizations at eFunds, Syntel, and HCL. As CEO of Mantra Online, he was credited with ending the Indian Government’s Internet monopoly in 2000.

 

Atul is passionate about emerging technologies and enjoys mentoring entrepreneurs and start-ups. He co-chairs NASSCOM’s Task Force on Cyber Security. Till recently, he was actively involved with the Oditi foundation that focuses on skill development and employment opportunities for the under privileged.

 

Atul currently resides in India with his wife, Jyotsna, and well-travelled Golden Retriever, Kaizer. An adventure lover and sports enthusiast, Atul spends his spare time skydiving, mountain biking and river rafting with his family. He is always game to get into a car and drive to explore – any place in the world.
