Ned brings a broad understanding of the promise of emerging technology coupled with a healthy respect for the adoption constraints enterprises face. Currently overseeing 451 Research’s Voice of the Enterprise, Ned leads a team of analysts covering Cloud, Security, IT Infrastructure, Datacenters, and IoT. Via a series of quarterly surveys tapping a dedicated panel of 26,000 senior IT professionals, Ned and his team explore emerging technologies, IT spending trends, and disruptive vendors.
Previously, Ned was Managing Director at HfS Research where he drove the firm’s ascent as a thought leader in Digital Transformation. Prior to that, he spent ten years at Outsell. During his time there he led the creation of an executive level benchmarking program and refined and honed the company’s market sizing.
Ned also spent 4 years at IDC where he oversaw the Worldwide IT Services research program and led the creation of the Worldwide IT Services tracker. Ned has been quoted in many of the world's foremost business and technology publications, including The Financial Time, the Wall Street Journal, Business Week, Time, and also interviewed on Fox Business and the PBS Nightly Business Report. He is also a frequent speaker at industry events.
