Prabir is the Director of the Office of Social and Economic Justice at Thoughtworks, a leading software services company. Prabir’s expertise and key areas of work are Legal and Governance issues of software and internet, Innovation theory, and Optimization and simulation models.

 

Prior to ThoughtWorks, Prabir was Head of Systems Technologies and R&§D, Steag Energy Services India and Vice-President, Free Software Movement of India. He has been part of many expert groups and committees working with the Government. Prabir has been a regular speaker at the The World Social Innovation Forum and many other international conferences. He has also contributed to magazines and journals such as the Economic and Political Weekly, among others, on science, technology, power and telecommunications.
